Decades ago, before his death, the head of the Ma clan performed a brutal ritual, sacrificing the most special girl he had bought to summon a guardian demon to protect his hidden treasures for his young sons. Years later, Lan, a young girl seeking work, arrives at the clan’s remote rice village estate, where she meets Danh, the current master.
